seamless solutions
Our DNA is fuelled by constant innovation to produce products and solutions that are not only energy efficient but also future-proof. The Aalberts hydronic flow control research, innovation and development team bases its work on customer needs, climate compliant laws and energy megatrends. Thinking of solutions from source to emitter and their application in each phase of the building life cycle is impertive in the process.
Our collaborative working style also extends to meetings with ‘reference installers’ during the product development phase. Exchanges with users are scheduled to test product functionalities and on-site installation in a real environment. Through this we are able to adapt products based on expert feedback and testing.
In order to design and develop innovative new products, Aalberts hydronic flow control also uses digital simulation and additive manufacturing for its prototypes. Since 2017, we have added a biclimatic chamber to one of our development sites, which is almost identical to those on site. From temperatures of -20°C to +50°C, the researchers can test products and measure their performance in terms of thermal comfort in extreme climatic conditions in this chamber.
Researchers from our different sites work closely together to optimise existing products and imagine new solutions. The teams are specialised in electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and thermal simulation, and work in partnership with engineering schools and universities as well to stay abreast of the latest developments in their different areas of expertise.
